Most puzzle solving requires use of logical thinking and one’s problem-solving skills. Solving puzzles often requires strategic and creative thinking. Especially with some mentoring, your children can transfer their increasing puzzle-based logic and problem solving to other situations.

When your children have played the game at least once, discuss some of the strategies they have discovered. The following questions can be used to guide the discussion:

    • Do certain shapes fit together well?

    • How did you decide where to place the tetrominoes?

    • Was one tetromino shape more difficult to place than the others? Why?

    • What was the easiest tetromino shape to work with? Why?
